"MIATAAAA" (miataaaa)

Who else to share this with other than my Oppo friends!?
I'm flying down to Houston in one week to pick up my 3.0i Z3 roadster with 40K miles on the clock. I cannot wait.
Wish me luck on the lonely 2 day drive back to the Northeast.
Worth it:

Nice, now you just need one of these and a Walther PPK.

Not sure what route you're taking home, but you should detour through Memphis for Central BBQ and Gus's Fried Chicken .

While in Houston, stop off at Pluckers for some wings. You DEFINITELY won't be disappointed!

Good choice. The M54 is an excellent engine. Please say that you have the factory rollbars, so you can go tracking it. Please see a related BMW that has been very very fun to drive in my garage.
You may want to go up I-85, and stop at the BMW Plant in Spartanburg, SC. It's a fitting thing, since your Z3 was assembled there.

Great suggestion! :) I actually lived in Houston for 20+ years. Unfortunately, I'm getting off the plane, hopping in the car, and bolting for the NE. :/

Thanks for the suggestion! I'm actually going through Atlanta. I need to make it back for Easter dinner. It's going to be like The Fast And The Furious. Next road trip, though, I'll have those at the top of my list! :)

It does have the factory bars! I wasn't sure if I needed to add something for it to be track-ready, so this is good news! I'm very excited to take it on the track - I have the retractable hard top Miata now and it usually doesn't meet the requirements (the roll bars are so low!).

It actually depends on the group you go with. Some make you pass the broomstick test, others just some some factory roll protection (or equivalent which will pass tech in the local race series [Chump, LeMons, SCCA, etc]).
I go with a group that just wants factory roll protection (Yay! I'm also *that guy* because I drive my Z4 with the top down, no exceptions [including rain]). I know one other group that does broomstick test (Just slouch :) ), and one that requires hardtops (Boo! Hiss!).

If you want to do that, you need an Omega Seamaster Diver 300m

"Lucky me."

I don't think that will change. I doubt the Z3 can replace the Miata in my heart. I think it will come in a solid second place.
